Quick Methods of Slimming and Their Side Effects



Having an ideal body is something that everyone wants. Triggering risks of some diseases like diabetes, hyper tension, and heart disease, being obese is also decreasing people’s confidence. It causes them to do some ways to lose their weight. Some will do healthy ways like exercising and controlling the food intake. Some others will do instant methods to be slim quickly.

Some methods are done to lose weight instantly, like consuming slimming tea, slimming pills, fiber food supplement, and laxatives, doing acupuncture, using slimming gel or cream, and doing liposuction. Those methods are high of risks and not guaranteed to be successfully weight loss. How do the methods work actually? And what are the side effects of each method? I will explain it clearly in this article.


1.                   Slimming Tea

Slimming tea is actually not different than another tea in common. What makes it different is that it contains rhubarb root, senna and castor oil that serve as powerful laxatives and asparagus root extract and silica that act as natural diuretics. The diuretic and laxative characters contained in the tea enables people who consume it get frequently urination and it can increase bowel movements while being consumed. Therefore, the weight loss may be a result of the loss of excess fluid that will cause dehydration. The worst effect of using the slimming tea is excessive aggravating of kidney to work that will cause kidney disease.

2.                   Slimming Pill

Slimming pill works only to suppress the appetite for a while. It has addictive effect constraining the dieters to consume it unless they will have their appetite back. About the risk of the slimming pills, experts say that appetite suppressants will cause high risk of indigestion, stomach disorder, and malnutrition. The dieters, who consume it, will get headache, tremor, or insomnia. It will also trigger other diseases like hypertension and heart attack.

3.                   Fiber Food Supplement

Fiber food supplement will clot in the stomach that will cause the dieters to stay full longer therefore reducing appetite. However, the frequent use of this supplement for long-term is dangerous. Clumping caused by this supplement will potentially clog the large intestine.

4.                   Laxatives

This method has been proven to be dangerous to use. However, some people still use it to lose their weight. The use of laxatives can speed up the bowl movements, especially for those who get constipation. Most of the weight lost due to the use of laxative will be water weight. Taking too much of the product can result in serious side effects like dehydration, vomiting and nausea. The continued use of laxatives will cause intestine disorder, electrolyte disturbances and imbalances, cardiac arrhythmias, irregular heart beat and heart attack, renal problems and death.

5.                   Acupuncture

In acupuncture, t
hin needles are used to pierce the skin at various points of nerve. Some say that it may also be possible to lose weight through acupuncture. For losing weight, acupuncture has an effective method of appetite suppression. It also can be a stress relief for people who are prone to stress eating. However, it is also has side effects. Acupuncture can cause the patient feels headache, gets nausea and vomiting, especially if it is done by someone who is not professional. We also to make sure that the needles used are sterile, disposable, and used only once. If the needles are contaminated, it will increase bacteria and cause blood infection.

6.                   Slimming Gel or Cream

Weight lose program offered by Slimming Centers in the big cities usually use slimming cream or slimming gel as their method. This method works by decreasing the body’s temperature then increasing the body’s heat that can destroy fat in the body. This method also has side effects. The frequent use of the cream or gel can cause skin irritation and skin allergic, especially those who have sensitive skin.

7.                   Liposuction

Liposuction or lipoclastic is a cosmetic surgery to remove fat from any parts of our body needed. The fat is removed by inserting a canola (hollow tube) through a small incision. The surgeon pushes and pulls it in a forwards and backwards motion, carefully through the fat layer, breaking up the fat cells and drawing them out of the body by suction. This method will lose the weight significantly but it will cause the skin bumpy and withered because of uneven fat removal. It will also cause some complication like allergic, infection, and fluid imbalance.
